Michelle Lewis Named Academic All-District
SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University senior Michelle Lewis was named to the 2005 Academic All-District Second Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). In addition, Lewis was also selected all-Region and was a first-team all-conference selection.

Bryant Places Three on NE-10 First Team All-Conference in Women's Lacrosse
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - Senior Michelle Lewis, junior Maureen Burns and sophomore Shaun Leddy were all named First Team All-Northeast-10 Conference which was announced this weekend by the league office. Sophomore Lauren Carlisle was named to the all-conference second team. Bryant capped off another successful season in 2005, tying a school record with 12 wins under first-year coach Karen Healy.

Women's Lacrosse Falls to Merrimack, 6-5 in NE-10 Semis
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Maureen Burns scored a pair of goals but the Warriors of Merrimack pulled out a 6-5 win over the Bryant women's lacrosse team Saturday in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference tournament. Merrimack tallied the game-winner with 1:34 left in regulation.

Weekend Schedule Update - Saturday's Baseball Moved to Monday; Women's Lacrosse Semifinals Moved to Southern N.H.
SMITHFIELD, RI - Due to the forecast for rain this weekend, the Bryant baseball game scheduled for Saturday with UMass Lowell has been moved to Monday for a 3:30 p.m. start at the Bryant Baseball Complex. Saturday's NE-10 Women's Lacrosse semifinal will be played on the campus of Southern N.H. at 1:30 p.m. The championship will be played at either Stonehill or SNHU Sunday, weather pending. Saturday's NE-10 Track & Field Championships at Lowell has been cancelled.

SMITHFIELD, RI – The Bryant University men’s and women’s lacrosse teams will in Northeast-10 Conference Tournament games today. The women will host Saint Anselm at 4:00PM in Bulldog Stadium in a Quarterfinal match-up while the men travel to Merrimack for a Semifinal game at 4:00PM.

SMITHFIELD, RI - Lauren Carlisle scored five goals and added an assist to help lead the Bryant University women's lacrosse team to an 18-10 win over Saint Anselm in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Conference tournament Wednesday at Bulldog Stadium. The Bulldogs will now advance to the semifinals where they will face Merrimack on Saturday (3:30 p.m.) at Easton, Mass.

Women's Lacrosse Beats SNHU 18-6 Saturday
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Sophomores Amanda Gallant (Andover, MA) and Shaun Leddy (Sea Grift, NJ) both totaled four goals and one assist and junior Marisa Lawrence (Falmouth, MA) added two goals and four assists to lead Bryant University to an 18-6 victory over Southern New Hampshire University here today in Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse action. Bryant has won seven of its last nine games and improved to 10-4 overall and 7-2 in the league. SNHU dropped to 6-7 overall and 4-5 in the NE-10.

Men's Basketball Fifth in Region; Women Seventh
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant men's basketball team moved up to fifth in this week's NCAA Northeast Regional standings announced this afternoon. The Bulldogs, winners of ten in-a-row, enter Wednesday's game at Saint Michael's with a 17-6 overall record and will travel to the region's top team, Bentley College, on Saturday. The Bryant women are currently seventh in the region with a 15-8 overall record.

Karen Healy Named Women's Lacrosse Coach
SMITHFIELD, RI - Former Syracuse All-American Karen Healy has been named head women's lacrosse coach at Bryant University. The announcement was made today by Director of Athletics Dan Gavitt. Healy replaces Wynne Lobel who resigned for personal reasons. Healy comes to Bryant from Metro Lacrosse in Boston, Mass. and was previously an assistant coach at UMass-Amherst.
