Women's Lacrosse Opens Season With 21-5 Win Over Presbyterian

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Bryant women's lacrosse team kicked off its 2006 season with a 21-5 win over Presbyterian Monday afternoon.  Shaun Leddy had five goals on just nine shots while freshman Delia Glover, Ashley Hegarty and Amanda Gallant each had three. 

A total of nine players scored - including three freshman on the afternoon.  Samantha Libby made nine saves on 14 shots to earn the win.  The Bulldogs held the Blue Hose scoreless in the second half to improve to 1-0 on the season.

The Bulldogs will wrap up their trip to Florida with a game against New Haven Wednesday before returning back to the Northeast to face Southern Connecticut Saturday in New Haven.
