BRYANT DEFEATS SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE 14-12
BULLDOGS EXTEND WIN STREAK TO FIVE

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University's Delia Glover (Marston Mills, MA) and Caitlin Hansen (Spring Lake, NJ) each scored three goals to lead the Bulldogs to a 14-12 Northeast-10 Conference victory over Southern New Hampshire. With the win, Bryant improves to 8-3 on the season (6-2 NE-10) and extends their current winning streak to five games. Southern New Hampshire drops to 5-4 overall and 4-4 in the NE-10.

Bryant (8-3, 6-2 NE-10) battled with the Penmen early in the first half as Lauren Carlisle (San Diego, CA) scored exactly one minute into the contest to take a 1-0 lead. Glover would give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead with her first goal of the game. Southern New Hampshire quickly answered just two minutes later as Maura Murphy (Candia, NH) brought the Penmen back to within one goal. Elizabeth Parent (Hinesburg, VT) knotted the game at 2-2 with her first of five goals on the day for Southern New Hampshire.

The Bulldogs were up 8-3 towards the end of the first half before the Penmen scored two quick goals to cut the halftime deficit to just three 8-5. Bryant would increase their lead early in the second half scoring two goals in the first five minutes. Amanda Gallant (Andover, MA) put Bryant on top 9-5 and then Carlisle added another goal to give the Bulldogs a five goal lead. The Penmen would not go away as both teams scored goals back and forth for the remainder of the half. Bryant would eventually take a 13-10 lead that Southern New Hampshire could not climb back from. Bryant won the game 14-12.

Penmen goalie Lisa McEachern (Scituate, MA) had 15 saves on 29 Bryant shots while Bulldog goalie Samantha Libby (Penacook, NH) had 17 saves on 29 Southern New Hampshire shots.

On senior day for the Bulldogs, Marisa Lawrence (Flamouth, MA) led the team with five assists. Junior Shaun Leddy (Sea Girt, NJ) also contributed with three assists and a goal.

Bryant will travel to top-ranked Adelphi on Sunday April 23.  Southern New Hampshire will host Saint Michael's on Tuesday April 25.
