Women's Lacrosse Hosts Greyhounds Saturday at 1 pm
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant women's lacrosse team will look to carry the momentum from Thursday's win over Franklin Pierce this Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs host Assumption College at the Turf Complex. The game is set to start at 1 pm. Caitlin Hansen is coming off a tremendous game for the Bulldogs against Franklin Pierce. The senior tallied a career-best seven goals in the win.

Women's Lacrosse Hosts Top-Ranked C.W. Post Saturday in Home Opener
SMITHFIELD, RI -- The Bryant women’s lacrosse team returns home this Saturday afternoon after three games on the road to open the season to play host to top-ranked and defending national champion C.W. Post. This is the first of six regular season home games for the Bulldogs who bring a 3-1 record into Saturday's contest. Game time is set for 12 NOON.

Women's Lacrosse Game vs. AIC Moved to 7 pm at Elms College
SMITHFIELD, RI - Due to field conditions at American International College, Wednesday's women's lacrosse game vs. AIC will be moved from Springfield to Chicopee, MA with a start time of 7 p.m. This will be the Northeast-10 Conference opener for the Bulldogs who take a 2-1 record into the game against the Yellow Jackets.

Women's Lacrosse Sets Sights on Postseason Under Davos
The 2008 Bryant University women's lacrosse season will have plenty of new faces both on the field and on the sidelines as the Bulldogs prepare for the season opener February 22 at the University of Louisville. First year coach Jessica Davos will have to replace six seniors lost to graduation from last year's squad that posted a 9-6 overall record and 7-3 mark in the Northeast-10 Conference. Three of Bryant's top four scorers are gone after accounting for 97 goals combined.

Jessica Davos Named Women's Lacrosse Coach at Bryant University
The Bryant University Department of Athletics and Recreation is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Davos as women's lacrosse coach. The announcement was made today by Athletics Director Bill Smith. Davos replaces Karen Rife who took a similar position at Wagner College last month.

Head Coach Karen Rife Resigns Post at Bryant to Become Head Coach at Division I Wagner College
Smithfield, RI- Bryant head women's lacrosse coach Karen Rife has resigned to become the head coach at Division I Wagner College in New York. Rife leaves the Bulldogs after three years at the helm in which she compiled a record of 32-16. Rife joins her husband, former Bryant men's assistant Jason Rife, who was also named the head coach at Wagner.

Senior Shaun Leddy (Sea Girt, NJ) was the only Bulldog to earn first team honors while senior Lauren Carlisle (San Diego, Calif.), junior Caitlin Hansen (Spring Lake, NJ), and Victoria Russell (Southborough, Mass.) were all named Second Team All-Conference.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Junior Lindsey Cann (Danvers, Mass.) scored a game-high five goals while senior Caitlin Hansen (Spring Lake, NY) scored four times - including the 100th of her career, but it was not enough as fourth-ranked Adelphi pulled away late to post a 24-12 win over Bryant in a non-conference women's lacrosse game Saturday at the Bryant Turf Field Complex. The Bulldogs will host a Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinal round game Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.

RINDGE, NH – The Bryant University women’s lacrosse team bounced back strong from Tuesday’s loss to Bentley with a solid 19-5 win at Franklin Pierce Thursday night. Sophomore Delia Glover and Lindsey Cann each had four goals apiece to lead the way for the Bulldogs who improved to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Northeast-10. Franklin Pierce falls to 1-5 (0-2 NE-10) on the season. The Bulldogs visit Assumption on Saturday.

Women's Lacrosse Picked Third in Northeast-10 Preseason Poll
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – The Bryant University women's lacrosse team was picked to finish third in the Northeast-10 for 2007 following release of the preseason coaches poll on Thursday. The Bulldogs garnered 100 points in the voting, including one first-place vote. Defending conference champion Stonehill was picked to repeat in 2007 with Merrimack picked to finish second. Bentley and Saint Michael's round out the top five. Bryant will scrimmage Salve Regina on March 1 before heading to Florida to open the season against regional power C.W. Post March 16.

Women's Lacrosse Announces 2007 Schedule
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant University Women’s Lacrosse team announced its 2007 schedule Tuesday. The announcement was made by third-year Head Coach Karen Healy. The Bulldogs’ home-opener will be March 19th against New Haven at 4 p.m. on the Bryant Turf Complex. Bryant will split its home games between the new Turf Complex and Bulldog Stadium. They will play their first night home game March 27 against Bentley at 7 p.m.

Bryant's Maureen Burns Named NCAA Woman of Year Conference Winner
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Northeast-10 Conference Senior Women Adminstrator (SWA) council has selected Bryant University two-sport student-athlete Maureen Burns '06 as the NCAA Woman of the Year Conference winner. Burns, a first team all-conference selection in the sports of field hockey and women's lacrosse, in addition to being named the Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year, graduated from Bryant in May. She is the second Bryant student-athlete in as many years to earn the Woman of the Year honor, joining softball standout Carly Muise '05 who received the award last spring.

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant senior women's lacrosse standout Maureen Burns and junior Shaun Leddy have been named to the IWLCA Division II All-America team for 2006. Burns, the Defensive Player of the Year in the Northeast-10, was named First Team All-America while Leddy earned second team accolades.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior Shaun Leddy (Sea Girt, NJ) scored four goals including the game-winner with 26 seconds left in the third overtime frame to lift the Bryant women's lacrosse team to a thrilling 16-15 win over Merrimack College on a cold and windy evening at the Bryant Turf Complex. The win gives Bryant (9-4, 7-3 NE-10) a home game in the quarterfinal round next Wednesday, likely against Merrimack. The Bulldogs will host Adelphi in a nonconference game Saturday for Senior Day at Bulldog Stadium.
