BRYANT WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS NEW HAVEN 20-12
Leddy Ties Career High with Seven Goals To Lead Bulldogs

BOXSCORE

SMITHFIELD, R.I.  -  Senior Shaun Leddy (Sea Girt, NJ) tied a career best scoring seven goals while adding a pair of assists to help lead the Bryant University women's lacrosse team to a 20-12 nonconference win over visiting New Haven at a frigid Bryant Turf Complex Monday night.  The game was a makeup from a postponed contest from back in March.

Bryant (7-3) trailed 1-0 early as New Haven's Sarah LeGoff scored just over a minute into the contest.  After Lauren Carlisle (San Diego, Calif.) tied things up on the ensuing restart, New Haven's Kristine Lambracht put the visitors back on top with an unassisted goal a minute later.

From there, it was all Bryant as Leddy scored back to back goals, one on a free position shot to put the Bulldogs on top 3-2.  Later, Leddy would set up teammate Caitlin Hansen (Spring Lake, NJ) with a pretty goal on transition to make it 4-2.

Two more Leddy goals stretched the Bryant lead to 10-5 just before halftime and the senior attacker would add three more times in the second half as the Bulldogs won their second game in a row and second straight scoring at least 20 goals.

New Haven (6-6) was led by Brigid Brady's six goals while Traci Cornwell added three. LeGoff would finish with a pair of tallies for the Chargers.

Bryant out-shot New Haven 39 to 21 in the game and held the advantage with 27 ground balls to the Chargers' 13.  Hansen and Carlisle each finished with four goals on the evening.

Bryant will return to Northeast-10 Conference play when this Saturday when the Bulldogs visit Southern New Hampshire while New Haven visits top-ranked C.W. Post on Thursday.
