BRYANT WOMEN ROLL TO 18-9 WIN OVER VISITIN SAINT

Glover Scores Four To Pace Bulldogs

SMITHFIELD, RI - Sophomore midfielder Delia Glover (Marston Mills, Mass.) scored four goals while junior Ashley Ammendolia (Concord, Mass.) added three goals plus four assists to help lead the Bryant women's lacrosse team to an 18-9 win over Saint Michael's Saturday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium.
Bryant (5-2, 4-1 Northeast-10) scored six goals on its first nine shots of the game as Amanda Gallant (Andover, Mass.) and Caitlin Hansen (Shrewsbury, Mass.) scored a pair of goals early while Glover followed with back-to-back tallies to give the Bulldogs a quick 6-1 lead.
Saint Michael's (5-4, 4-2 NE-10) sophomore Brynne Curran (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) would score the Purple Knights' first three goals of the game but goals from Bryant's Amendolia and Lindsey Cann (Danvers, Mass.) gave the Bryant a commanding 10-3 lead with under 10 minutes left in the first half.
Thanks to several draw control wins late in the half, the Purple Knights would close to within 13-6, but goals by Glover, Amendolia, and Hansen stretched the lead to 16-6 and the Bulldogs were never threatened.
Bryant goalie Chelsea Pettingill (South Portland, Maine) was outstanding in net for the Bulldogs, The freshman finished with a season-high 20 saves including 13 in the second half in earning her fifth win of the season.
Curran led the Purple Knights with six goals in the game while Amanda Soule (Hartland, Vt.), Megan Lagasse (Newburyport, Mass.), and Megan Rule (Bow, NH) each had a goal for Saint Michael's. Kim Berlo (Scituate, Mass.) had three assists.
Bryant will travel to Stonehill College this Tuesday to face the fourth-ranked and undefeated Skyhawks at W.B. Mason Stadium starting at 3:30 p.m .
