WORCESTER, Mass. - Caitlin Hansen scored five goals while Delia Glover, Lauren Carlisle, and Amanda Gallant each had four goals apiece as the Bryant University women's lacrosse team picked up a 24-10 Northeast-10 Conference win over Assumption Saturday afternoon.
Bryant (4-2, 3-1 NE-10) scored 10 first half goals with Gallant, Glover, and Hansen each netting a pair. With the game tied at 1-1 early, Carlisle scored the go-ahead goal on an assist from Hansen to put Bryant ahead, 2-1. Shortly after, Lauren Albert would tally her fifth of the season to give Bryant 3-1 advantage.
Leading 10-5 at the half, the Bulldogs stretched its lead to 14-7 thanks to two more Hansen goals. The Bulldogs out-shot the Greyhounds 51 to 30 in the game and got 16 saves from Chelsea Pettingill in the victory.
Assumption (0-5, 0-2 NE-10) was led by Kristin Ford's three goals while Shannon Howard, Jenna Goldstein, and Coleen Fish each netted a pair.
Bryant will host Merrimack College this Wednesday night (7 p.m.) at the Turf Field and host Saint Michael's on Saturday at Bulldog Stadium
