BRYANT WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLACES FOUR ON NORTHEAST-10 ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women's lacrosse team placed four players on the 2007 Northeast-10 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference team announced following the conclusion of the NE-10 tournament.
Senior Shaun Leddy (Sea Girt, NJ) was the only Bulldog to earn first team honors while senior Lauren Carlisle (San Diego, Calif.), junior Caitlin Hansen (Spring Lake, NJ), and Victoria Russell (Southborough, Mass.) were all named Second Team All-Conference.
This is the second-straight year Leddy has earned First Team All-Conference honors. The midfielder led the Bulldogs with 54 points this season, scoring 36 goals and adding 18 assists. In addition, Leddy had 38 ground balls, 31 draw controls, and a team-best 20 caused turnovers.
Carlisle and Hansen both played key rolls in Bryant's offensive attack this season. Carlisle was third on the team with 35 goals while Hansen led the way with 39, scoring her 100th career goal against Adelphi on "Senior Day."
Russell, a sophomore defender, played in all 15 games for the Bulldogs, racking up 39 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers for the season.
Bryant, under the direction of third-year coach Karen Rife, posted a 9-7 overall and finished fourth in the conference regular season standings.
