BRYANT WOMEN'S LACROSSE DROPS OPENER 21-3 AT LOUISVILLE

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -  The Bryant women's lacrosse team opened the 2008 season falling to Louisville, 21-3 in a non-conference game Friday afternoon at U of L Stadium.  The Bulldogs, under the direction of first year coach Jess Davos, fall to 0-1 on the season while Louisville, in its first varsity season, improves to 1-0.

The Bulldogs trailed 6-0 in the opening half before getting on the board on a goal by Christine Sutherland.  After a Louisville goal made it 7-1, junior Delia Glover tallied a free position goal to make it 7-2 with a little over 16 minutes left before the half.  But three more goals by the Cards made it 10-2 before Allison Faiola notched her first goal of the season with 16 seconds left to make it 11-3 at the half.

In the second half, the Bulldogs were outscored 10 to 0 in the second as nine different Cardinals notched a goal.   Bryant will return to action Mar. 9 when the Bulldogs face Lees McRae at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
