Lauren Albert scored six times in Bryant's 20-11 win over Lees-McRae Sunday.


WINTER PARK, FL - Lauren Albert scored six goals while Caitlyn Hansen and Allison Faiola each added three tallies as the Bryant University women's lacrosse team picked up its first win of the season with a 20-11 win over Lees-McRae Sunday afternoon. 

Albert and Hansen got the Bulldogs off to a good start in seeing that first-year coach Jess Davos would pick up her first victory at Bryant as Albert put the Bulldogs up 1-0 just over minute into the contest with an unassisted goal at 28:49.  Hansen would add a free position goal 10 minutes later to make it 2-0. 

Lees-McRae would tie the game at 2-2 but would never take the lead as Eliza Demarseilles made it 3-2 with a goal at 17:01 while Albert would net back-to-back goals in a two minute span to put the Bulldogs up 5-2.

Bryant (1-1) would lead 12-5 at the half and after a quick goal spurt by Lees-McRae, the Bulldogs would counter with four unanswered goals to put the game away.

Bryant will take on Rollins College this Wednesday.
