WOMEN'S LACROSSE HOSTS TOP-RANKED C.W. POST SATURDAY IN HOME OPENER

SMITHFIELD, RI -  The Bryant women's lacrosse team returns home this Saturday afternoon after three games on the road to open the season to play host to top-ranked and defending national champion C.W. Post.  This is the first of six regular season home games for the Bulldogs who bring a 3-1 record into Saturday's contest. 

After falling to Division I Louisville in the opener Feb. 21, the Bulldogs picked up a pair of wins in Florida in early March, defeating Lees-McRae, 20-11 and Rollins College 18-11. 

Allison Faiola set a school record with eight goals plus two assists in the win over Rollins. 

The sophomore leads the Bulldogs this season with a team-best 15 goals and five assists for 20 points.  Junior Lauren Albert is next with 11 goals and four assists while senior Caitlin Hansen has nine goals on the season.

C.W. Post, the reigning national champions, come into today's game 3-0 on the season following wins over Siena (16-8), Mercyhurst (16-8) and Georgian Court (17-3). 

Katie Hogan has a team-best 10 goals while Jaclyn Napoli is next with eight goals and four assists this season.
