Hansen is also near the top of the all-time program rankings in a number of offensive categories, sitting second in career points (195) and goals (161) after spending four seasons running the Bulldog midfield. Hansen scored 29 or more goals in each of her four seasons, enjoying her best campaign in her final year, when she posted 61 tallies — good for second in the all-time single-season rankings — and added nine assists for 70 points in 18 games. She also owns the top spot for draw controls in a season (53) and draw controls in a single game (11).

During her time as a player, Hansen was named a two-time second team all-conference selection and earned an all-region selection as a junior. She was also honored as a first team all-academic award winner and was the recipient of the William T. O'Hara Leadership Award.

Hansen graduated from Bryant University summa cum laude in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, receiving the Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year award as a senior.
