Jessica Davos begins her first season in 2007-08 as head coach of the Bryant University women's lacrosse team. A 2002 graduate of Syracuse University, Davos comes to Bryant from Bentley College where she was the head women's lacrosse coach in 2007. While at Bentley, Davos helped lead the Falcons to their best season since 2000 with an 11-6 overall mark. Improving the team by four wins from the Falcons' 7-8 record the previous season.
Bentley would finish third in the Northeast-10 Conference standings with an 8-2 conference record and reached the NE-10 Conference Tournament Championship this past May. A total of four student-athletes garnered Northeast-10 All-Conference recognition with two selected all-region and one recognized as an All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Prior to arriving at Bentley, Davos was an assistant women's soccer and lacrosse coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
A native of Albany, N.Y., Davos (formerly DeRosa) played four years of varsity lacrosse at Syracuse, where she majored in English and textual studies. Among her career highlights was scoring the game-tying goal to force overtime in the ECAC championship semifinals against Boston University.
During her career, the Orange posted and impressive 44-19 record
with three NCAA tournament appearances.
