Bryant Battles St. Rose to Scoreless Tie
September 12, 2004
ALBANY, NY ? The Bryant University women?s soccer team battled Norhteast-10 Conference foe St. Rose to a 0-0 tie in a game played Saturday at The Albany Academy.
The tie brings the Bulldogs record to 4-1-1, 1-0-1 NE-10. The Bulldogs had won their last three matches before today?s tie.
The game was primarily a midfield game as evident in both teams only combining for 13 shots (7 by Bryant and 6 by St. Rose) with each team combing for only four quality shots in the 110-minute match.
Bryant was led by senior goalie Kim Rekart (Ellicot City, MD) who made three saves, including a huge one in the second overtime, when St. Rose?s forward Renee Ransdell got a breakaway but was stopped by Rekart.
Bryant will look to keep their unbeaten streak in tact Wednesday September 15, when they host Bentley at Bulldog Stadium. Game time is set for 3:30pm.
