Bryant Extends Streak to Five Beating Bentley 5-0

SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women?s soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to five with a 5-0 win over Bentley College Wednesday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium.


The Bulldogs took control of the game early when junior Maddie Bergeron (Westfield, Mass.) scored at 2:41 off an assist from sophomore Casey Grange (Lawerence, Mass.). The early score was the Bulldogs only goal of the half even though they held a nine to four shot advantage.

Bryant (5-1-1) came out strong in the second half with three goals within the first 10 minutes. Grange scored the first goal of the second half at 49:54 off an assist from freshman Lauren Childers (Franklin, Mass.). Freshman Diane Pascale (Plymouth, Mass.) added the second goal at 53:09 off another assist from Childers. The Bulldogs third goal of the stretch came off the foot of senior Kristen Harmon (Nashua, NH) who got the assist from fellow senior Christine Kalukiewicz (Littleton, Mass.).

Bryant added a goal late when junior Nikki Grandmaison (East Hampstead, NH) scored off an assist from fellow junior Sara Vienneau (Salem, NH).

Senior goalie Kim Rekart (Ellicott City, MD) made four saves and improved her record to 5-1-1.

Bryant will host Stonehill College this Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.
