Rekart & Harmon Named to All-Academic Teams

SMITHFIELD, RI ? Bryant senior goalie Kim Rekart (Ellicott City, MD) and senior midfielder Kristen Harmon (Nashua, NH) were named to the 2004 Academic District 1 College Division Women?s Soccer Team. Rekart was named to the first team and Harmon was named to the third team.
Rekart was named for her outstanding senior season in goal for Bryant were she started all 20 games. For the season she had a 1.05 goals against average, with 13 wins, six shutouts, and two additional team shutouts.
Rekart finished her career with a 1.12 goals against average, with 37 wins, and 17 shutouts which are all school records. In 2003 she was named to the CoSIDA Verizon District 1 All-American 2nd Team. In 2001 she was named a Northeast-10 Conference Gold Scholar Athlete. She is a double major in Computer Information System and Psychology and will graduate in May.
For being named to the first team Rekart is now eligible to be named to 2004 All-Academic College Division Women?s Soccer Team for the nation.
Harmon was named for her outstanding senior season in the midfield for Bryant were she started all 20 games. For the season she finished third on the team with 10 goals and four assists for a total of 24 points.
For here career Harmon scored 24 goals, eight assists, for a total of 56 points. She was also named to the CoSIDA Verizon District 1 Academic All-American Team in 2002. Additionally she was named to the NEWISA All New England Selection in 2002 as well as All Norhteast-10 Conference. She is a Psychology major and will graduate in May.
