SMITHFIELD, R. I. - The Bryant University Women's Soccer team will host Merrimack College Tuesday (2 p.m.) at Bulldog Stadium, in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Tournament.

Tickets can be purchased for $5 for adults and $3 for students and children.

The Bulldogs 13-6-1 (9-4-1 NE-10) secured home-field in the quarterfinals and the fourth seed in the Northeast-10 Tournamnet after defeating Merrimack in the regular season finale 2-1 Friday night in Smithfield.

Trailing 1-0, senior captain Casey Grange (Methuen, Mass.) ignited the Bulldogs, scoring both goals, her 17^th and 18^th on the season, while sophomore goaltender Jessica Neales (Swansea, Mass.) stopped five shots in net, including one at point-blank range in the 70^th minute. Diane Pascale (Plymouth, Mass.) notched the assist on Grange's game-winner. Grange's first tally came with five seconds to play in the first half.

Grange leads the Bulldogs with 18 goals and 44 points, both Bulldog records for one season, while Pascale has seven goals, five of them game-winners. Sophomore Danielle Malta (Bethel, Conn.) anchors the Bulldog defense and has also contributed five assists, mainly off free kicks. Neales has a 0.80 goals-against, three shutouts and 6-2-0 record in goal.

Merrimack finished the regular season, 13-4-1 (9-4-1 NE-10). Caitlin Hall leads the Warriors with nine goals and 24 points, while Jackie Vickers is right behind her with eight goals and 20 points. Caitlin Stephan has started all 18 games in goal, posting a 0.83 goals-against and recording four shutouts.

Bryant has won five straight matches and five straight at home, dating back to Sept. 26^th.

These two teams met in the 2005 NE-10 Quarterfinals in North Andover, N.H., with Merrimack prevailing 2-1. Grange scored the only goal in that match, her eighth on the season, while Neales stopped seven shots.
