Women's Soccer Seeded Third in New England Region

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- After posting a school record 15 wins, the Bryant Women's Soccer team is returning to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2001.

The NCAA has selected the Bulldogs as the third seed in the New England Region, where they will face second-ranked Saint Rose in the first round of the Division II NCAA Tournament Friday November 3rd at Sodexho Field, in Rindge, N.H., home of the top seed Franklin Pierce Ravens at 1 p.m.

Bryant finished second in the Northeast-10 Tournament, losing the championship game to Franklin Pierce 3-1 Sunday at Sodexho Field.

The Bulldogs upset the top-seed Saint Rose in the Semifinals 3-1, and now will have to defeat them again to advance in the NCAA Tournament.

The winner of the Bryant/Saint Rose match will play the Franklin Pierce/UMass Lowell winner in the New England Region Championship Sunday November 5th at Sodexho Field.
