FOUR BULLDOGS NAMED TO NSCAA ALL NEW-ENGLAND REGION TEAM
 

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -  Four Women's Soccer Bulldogs were named to the 2006 Division II NSCAA All New-England Region team for their outstanding play this season.

Casey Grange (Methuen, Mass.) was named to the First Team. Grange set school records with 19 goals in a season and led the Bulldogs with 46 points, second in the conference. With her goal on Sunday, Grange also became the first player in Bryant history to reach 100 career points. She received the Golden Ball award from NE-10 Commissioner David Brunk for sharing the conference lead for goals. Grange, an All-American candidate, is also a Northeast-10 First Team member and a first-team All-Region selection. 

Sophomore sweeper Danielle Malta (Bethel, Conn.) is a Second-Team selection. Malta has six assists this season, with the majority coming off free kicks. She played virtually every minute of every game, anchoring the Bulldogs' defense.

Junior forward Tricia Spada (Dedham, Mass.) joins Malta on the Second-Team. Spada posted three goals and six assists this season. She is third on the Bulldogs with 12 points, and scored all of her goals on penalty kicks.

Spada and Malta were previously selected to the NE-10 Second Team, while Malta also made the second-team All-Region team.

Junior forward Diane Pascale (Plymouth, Mass.) was also selected to the Second-Team. Pascale was second on the Bulldogs with nine goals and 19 points and leads the team with six game-winning goals. She scored both goals in Bryant's 2-1 victory over Merrimack in the NE-10 Quarterfinals.  Pascale was a third-team NE-10 selection and a second-team All-Region member.

The Women's Soccer team won a school record 15 games while earning its second career appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
