Bryant Women's Soccer Welcomes Nine New Additions to the 2006 Roster

Nine New Additions to the 2006 Women's Soccer Roster 

Smithfield, RI - The women's soccer team welcome nine new players to next season's roster that have already been accepted into Bryant University. Kristin Dionne, Ryann Healy, Molly Wallace, Becky Blake, Holly Tyser, Aerin Sadowski, Brianne Lustenring, Katie Mitchell and Erin Szewc have all committed and been accepted to the University and soccer program.

Kristina Dionne:

Kristina will join the Bulldogs on defense after spending her freshman year at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. A Raymond, New Hampshire native, Dionne plays club soccer for Seacoast United. A two year captain at Raymond High School, she was a First Team All-State Selection. She also earned 4 varsity letters in basketball while at Raymond.

Ryann Healy:

Ryann, a Manchester, New Hampshire native, will join the midfield line for the Bulldogs in the fall. Healy earned 4 varsity letters in soccer at Memorial High School, where her team made the Final Four her freshman and senior years. Healy was also awarded the Coach's award for her team for her outstanding leadership her senior year.

Molly Wallace:

Molly comes to the Bulldogs from East Sandwich, Massachusetts and will add strength to the defensive line. At Sandwich High School, her team was ACL champions her junior and senior year, and Molly was named an ACL All-Star for her strong consistent play all four years. She was also named to the Eastern Massachusetts All Star team and named team MVP her senior year. Molly plays club soccer for the Crusaders, who were the Massachusetts State Champions in 2004.

Becky Blake:

Becky is a Cos Cob, Connecticut native, and a Greenwich High School alumni. A 2 year captain, and 3 time All-FCIAC selection, Becky's versatility  will make her a contributor all over the field for the Bulldogs. She also played basketball and lacrosse while at Greenwich High, and plays for the Yankee United Heat for club soccer.

Holly Tyser:

Holly will make a nice addition to the midfield unit come the fall. Coming from Somers, Connecticut, where she played soccer, track and field, and golf for Somers High School, Holly was a 2004 and 2005 All NCCC selection. She added All State recognition in 2005, as well as being named the Connecticut Senior Bowl MVP and her team's MVP. Holly also received honors in 2004 for track and field, finishing second in the conference for the javelin throw.

Aerin Sadowski:

Aerin will join the Bulldogs offense as she contributes time to the forward and midfield lines. A Glastonbury, Connecticut native, Aerin played three years at Connecticut power Glastonbury High School before transferring to the Kinsgwood-Oxford School. She was a Central Connecticut All Academic Team selection, as well as an All Conference and All State standout. She plays club soccer for CUFC, and has risen through the ranks of CT ODP, where she was a one-time regional pool selection. Aerin also plays ice hockey for Kinsgwood Oxford.

Brianne Lustenring

Brianne Lustenring joins the Bryant women's soccer team for the 2006 season giving the Bulldogs added depth to the backfield. Brianne comes to Bryant from Massapequa, New York, where she plays club for the very successful club team the Massapequa Rascals. She went to Holy Trinity High School in Hicksville, NY, where she was 2 year team MVP for the Titans for her junior and senior seasons. She was a Catholic League All-Star selection for 3 of her 4 seasons, and was selected to play in the Exceptional Senior game this past fall. Brianne will join the Bulldogs in a defensive position, and should have a significant impact on the team early on in her freshman year.

Katie Mitchell

Katie will join the Bulldogs as a goalkeeper, bringing valuable
knowledge of the game and outstanding athleticism to an already strong
last line of defense. She is from Deer Park, NY, where she served as
captain for both Deer Park High School as well as her club team, the
Mattituck Strikers. For her senior season, Katie was an All-League
selection for Deer Park, as well as the team's MVP. She also
participated in the Region I Exceptional Seniors game.

Erin Szewc

Erin is an Ellington, Connecticut native, and will be seeing time in
defensive and midfield positions on the field come the fall. She
competed in both soccer and track at Ellington High School, where she
was named All-Conference and team MVP for the 2005 soccer season. She
was the recipient of the captain's award for soccer, and indoor and
outdoor track for the 2005-2006 year.
