WOMEN'S SOCCER PLACES FIVE ON ALL-REGION SQUAD
Bulldogs Ranked No. 13 in Final National Poll

SMITHFIELD,RI - The Bryant University women's soccer team placed five individuals on the 2007 NSCAA/adidas All-Region Team as voted on by the region's coaches.  In addition, the Bulldogs closed out the 2007 season ranked No. 13 in the final NCAA Division II National Poll.

Earning first team honors for the Bulldogs are senior Tricia Spada (Dedham, MA) and junior Danielle Malta (Bethel, CT).  Both first team All-Americans, Spada led the Bulldogs with nine goals and five assists in 2007.  Malta started all 23 games at defense and was named the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year. 

Earning second team all-region honors were sophomores Alex Dipippo (Shelton, CT) and Holly Tyser (Somers, CT) along with junior Amy Orzechowski (Milford, CT).   Dipippo was third on the team in 2007 with 23 points (7G, 1A) while Orzechowski added five goals and four assists for 14 points.  Tyser was second on the team in just her second season with six goals and five assists. 

The Bulldogs posted a 17-2-4 record on the season in advancing to the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row.
