WOMENS SOCCER TO HOST NORTHEASTERN AND PROVIDENCE IN SPRING GAMES SUNDAY
SMITHFIELD, R.I. The Bryant University womens soccer team will host a triple-header on Sunday at the Bryant Turf Complex starting at 3:30 p.m. The Bulldogs will take on Northeastern at 3:30 and Providence College at 5:30, while Northeastern and Providence with play at 4:30. Games will be 50 minutes long and admission will be free.

SMITHFIELD, RI- The Bryant women's soccer team will be hosting a clinic on Saturday, March 7th on the Bryant University campus.The Bryant University Soccer Clinics are geared toward high school players who are interested in attending Bryant University in the future. Each of our clinics are two-session, full-day experiences of both the University and the Bulldog women's soccer program. Enrollment is limited to the first 30 players to ensure quality instruction and evaluation.

BULLDOGS ANNOUNCE DATES FOR WINTER WARMUP SOCCER TOURNAMENTS
SMITHFIELD, RI- The Bryant University soccer program has announced that it will hold two 7 v 7 soccer tournaments this spring. The Tupper Cup will be held on Sunday, March 29th while the Bickford Bowl will be held on Saturday, March 21st. The Bickford Bowl will be open to u12 and u13 girls teams while the Tupper Cup will be an open tournament.

WOMENS SOCCER STANDOUT, DANIELLE MALTA, SELECTED TO PLAY IN NEWISA SENIOR BOWL
SMITHFIELD, R.I. Senior defender Danielle Malta (Bethel, Conn.) has been selected to play in the NEWISA Senior Bowl on Sunday, December 7th at Salem State College. A four-year starter, Malta has anchored the Bulldog defense over the past four seasons, playing in almost every minute of every game.

CONGRATULATIONS TO COACH CHRIS FLINT ON HIS 100TH CAREER WIN AT BRYANT
SMITHFIELD, RI- A late goal by Steph Del Mistro against Cornell on Friday afternoon helped the Bulldogs to a 1-0 victory, and gave head coach Chris Flint his 100th career win with the Bryant soccer program. The Colby College graduate started with the program back in the 2000 season. Since that time, the womens soccer program has amassed a record of 100 wins, 64 losses, and 18 ties.

BULLDOGS TAKE HOME WIN ON SENIOR DAY, BEAT CORNELL 1-0 AT BULLDOG STADIUM
SMITHFIELD, RI Sophomore defender Steph Del Mistro (East Williston, N.Y.) scored her second goal of the season in the 79th minute of play to lift the Bulldogs to a 1-0 win over visiting Cornell at Bulldog Stadium Friday afternoon. It was the lone home game of the year for Bryant, who improved to 4-9-3 in front of a crowd of 187 on senior day.

WOMENS SOCCER TIES BROWN, 3-3, BEHIND 16 SAVES FROM CLARK
PROVIDENCE, RI - Senior keeper Jessica Clark (Barnstable, Mass.) made a career high 16 saves in net to help the Bryant women's soccer team tie Brown, 3-3, Wednesday night. The 16 saves set a Bryant record for most saves ever in a single game. The Bulldogs, who were outshot 37-15 in the contest, played their fourth overtime game this season, making their record 1-0-3 when going into extra time. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on goals from Sarah Donovan (Storrs, Conn.) and Kaitlyn Hinck (Bow, N.H.) just 27 minutes into the game.

WOMENS SOCCER TAKES ON BROWN WEDNESDAY NIGHT
SMITHFIELD, RI- Coming off their second win of the season, the Bryant womens soccer team will play just one game this week, as they take on the Bears from Brown University Wednesday night in Providence, Rhode Island. The Bulldogs defeated Wagner Sunday afternoon thanks to two goals from freshman forward Kaitlyn Hinck (Bow, N.H.) who now leads the team with four on the season. Senior captain Danielle Malta (Bethel, Conn.) also had a big day, recording her first career goal as well as notching the assist on the game-tying goal. Now the Bulldogs will turn their attention to the Bears, who were ranked eighth in the Northeast according to the NSCAA/Adidas poll.

Two second half goals by freshman forward Kaitlyn Hinck (Bow, N.H.) helped the Bryant University womens soccer team break a nine game winless streak, as they beat Wagner, 3-2, Sunday afternoon. The win was the second of the year for the Bulldogs and their first against a future Northeast Conference opponent. Senior captain Danielle Malta (Bethel, Conn.) also scored for Bryant. It was her first career goal coming on a penalty kick in the first half of play.

BRYANT SUFFERS TOUGH LOSS TO YALE; FALL, 2-0, IN NEW HAVEN WEDNESDAY NIGHT
NEW HAVEN, CT Two second half goals lifted Yale past Bryant, 2-0, in the battle of the Bulldogs Wednesday night in New Haven, Connecticut. Yale, ranked seventh in the latest NSCAA poll, was held scoreless by the Bulldogs through the first 53 minutes of play before leading scorer Maggie Westfal found the back of the net after a scramble in the box. The loss was the third in the last four games for Bryant, whose record fell to 1-7-2, while Yale improved to 5-4-1.

BULLDOGS HIT THE ROAD FOR TWO MORE; PLAY YALE, WAGNER THIS WEEK
SMITHFIELD, RI- In their lone match last week, the Bryant University womens soccer team played to a scoreless tie with future NEC rival Sacred Heart on a rainy Friday night in Fairfield, Connecticut. The tie gave the Bulldogs a 1-6-2 record heading into action this week, as they get ready to play Yale and Wagner on the road. Senior keepers Jessica Clark (Barnstable, Mass.) and Jessica Neales (Swansea, Mass.) combined to make nine stops in net while shutting out the Pioneers for 110 minutes. Clark made two saves in the first half of play, while Neales made seven in the second half and two overtime periods. Bryant has played to ties in two of their last four matches, but have yet to record a win since an overtime win over Northern Colorado in their season opener.

WOMENS SOCCER PLAYS TO SCORELESS TIE WITH SACRED HEART FRIDAY NIGHT
FAIRFIELD, CT Senior goalkeepers Jessica Clark (Barnstable, Mass.) and Jessica Neales (Swansea, Mass.) combined to make nine stops in net for Bryant as the Bulldogs played to a 0-0 tie with Sacred Heart on a damp Friday night in Fairfield, Connecticut. Clark stopped seven shots while playing the first 100 minutes of the contest before Neales came in to record two saves in the second half of overtime. On the other side, Sacred Heart keeper Meghan Reichelt (Selden, N.Y.) made five stops to get her first shutout this year. The tie moves the Bulldogs to 1-6-2 overall while the Pioneers record goes to 1-7-2.

WOMENS SOCCER GEARS UP FOR FUTURE NEC RIVALS SACRED HEART, QUINNIPIAC THIS WEEKEND
SMITHFIELD, RI- Since winning their first game of the season, the Bryant University womens soccer team has gone seven straight games without a win. Last week, the Bulldogs had two tough losses, falling 2-1 at Stony Brook and 3-1 at Northeastern. Sophomore Sarah Donovan (Storrs, Conn.) scored the game-tying goal against Stony Brook in the 50th minute of play, but the Seawolves would grab the lead just five minutes later on their way to the victory. Against the Huskies, who are just outside the top-15 in the Northeast according to SoccerBuzz magazine, Bryant had a 1-0 lead at the half before relinquishing three second half goals, giving Northeastern the victory. This week, the Bulldogs will take on future NEC rivals when they travel to play Sacred Heart on Friday night and Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon.

BOSTON, MA Freshman forward Veronica Napoli (Newport, R.I.) scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals in the second half to lift Northeastern (4-2-0) past Bryant, 3-1, in womens soccer action Sunday afternoon. The Huskies have now won four out of their last five games, while the Bulldogs are winless in their last seven. Bryant (1-6-1) jumped out to a lead in the first half when freshman Kalie Whitehouse (Braintree, Mass.) scored her first career goal in the 36th minute of play to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

SEAWOLVES DROP BULLDOGS, 2-1, TUESDAY NIGHT
STONY BROOK, NY Sophomore Sarah Donovan (Storrs, Conn.) scored a game-tying goal in the 50th minute of play, but it was not enough as the Bryant University womens soccer team fell to Stony Brook, 2-1, on Tuesday night in New York. Donovans goal was her second of the season, while also giving her a team-leading six points. The Bulldogs recorded 14 shots, nine of them on net, forcing junior keeper Marisa Viola (Cutchogue, N.Y.) to make eight saves on her way to the win.

SMITHFIELD, RI- After snapping a four-game losing streak with a, 1-1, tie at the University of Maine Saturday, the Bryant University womens soccer team is set to travel to Stony Brook for a Tuesday night match-up, followed by a trip to Boston to take on Northeastern Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs (1-4-1), who won their Division I debut, 3-2, in overtime over Northern Colorado, had lost four straight, including dropping games against Wyoming, Providence, George Washington, and UMass, before earning the tie at Maine over the weekend. Sophomore midfielder Sarah Donovan (Storrs, Conn.) scored the lone goal of the match for Bryant to help the squad to its first draw of 2008.

ORONO, ME An early goal by sophomore midfielder Sarah Donovan (Storrs, Conn.) helped the Bulldogs to a, 1-1, tie against the University of Maine (2-0-4) Saturday afternoon, ending a four game losing streak for Bryant. The goal, Donovans first of the season, came in just the fifth minute of play on a shot from 20 yards out that beat Blackbear keeper Jasmine Phillips (Nepean, Ontario) to her right off an assist from defender Steph Del Mistro (East Williston, N.Y.). Donovan is now tied for the team lead in points with four (one goal, two assists), along with Alex DiPippo (Shelton, Conn.) and Kaitlyn Hinck (Bow, N.H.).

AMHERST, MA The UMass Minutewomen received goals from Amy Ballew (Springfield, Va.) and Cristina Adams (Braintree, Mass.), as they blanked the Bryant University Bulldogs, 2-0, to win their first game of the season and hand the Bulldogs their fourth straight loss. WOMEN'S SOCCER LOOKS TO SNAP LOSING STREAK, TAKES ON UMASS WEDNESDAY
SMITHFIELD, RI- After having nine days off since a 3-2 heartbreaking loss to George Washington, the Bryant University women's soccer team is back in action Wednesday afternoon when they take on the UMass Minutewomen in Amherst, Massachusetts. The Bulldogs (1-3-0) have dropped three straight games since winning their first game as a Division I program in thrilling fashion with a 3-2 overtime win at Northern Colorado. Since that time, Bryant has lost a pair of 3-1 decisions at Wyoming and at Providence, and suffered the 3-2 loss at George Washington. This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.

BULLDOGS LOSE HEARTBREAKER TO COLONIALS
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Two late goals by Keara Mehlert (Chevy Chase, MD) and Misa Eiritz (New Orleans, LA) lifted George Washington University (1-2-0) past Bryant (1-3-0), 3-2, Sunday afternoon. The loss was the third in a row for the Bulldogs, who held a, 2-1, lead going into the final minute of play. The Colonials were able to tie the match in the 89th minute when Erica Wright (Cabin John, MD) found Mehlert who hit a volleyed shot from the top of the box that hit the crossbar and dropped into the net making the score, 2-2. Just 41 seconds later, Wright made another great pass. This time it was Eiritz who was on the receiving end hitting a shot from the left side past Bryant keeper Jessica Clark (Barnstable, MA) capping off an amazing comeback by the Colonials, handing the Bulldogs a heartbreaking, 3-2, loss.

FRIARS DEFEAT BULLDOGS, 3-1, AT PROVIDENCE THURSDAY
PROVIDENCE, RI - The Providence College Friars women's soccer team defeated the Bryant University Bulldogs Thursday in Providence, Rhode Island, 3-1. It was the season opener for the Friars, as they received a goal and an assist from sophomore Kate DelCiampo (Weathersfield) to help lift them to a victory and a 1-0 start to the season. The Bulldogs controlled much of the play in the second half, but were not able to finish a comeback.

BULLDOGS SUFFER FIRST LOSS, FALL TO WYOMING, 3-1
Laramie, WY - Despite jumping out to an early lead, the Bryant Bulldogs fell to the Wyoming Cowgirls, 3-1, Sunday in Laramie, Wyoming. The loss was the first of the season for Bryant, dropping their record to 1-1-0. Freshman Kaitlyn Hinck (Bow, N.H.) got the Bulldogs on the scoreboard with her second of the season in the 15th minute of play on a pass from fellow freshman Brooke Duchaney (Hampton Falls, N.H.), giving Bryant the early, 1-0, advantage. The Cowgirls would respond later in the first half when Juliana Candelaria (Albuquerque, N.M.) found Emily Layton (Colorado Springs, Colo.) for her first goal of the season to knot the game up at, 1-1, at halftime.

BRYANT TAKES DOWN NORTHERN COLORADO IN D1 DEBUT
GREELEY, CO - Freshman Kaitlyn Hinck (Bow, N.H.) scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Bryant University women's soccer team defeated the Northern Colorado Bears, 3-2, in its season opener on Friday night. It was the first Division 1 win for the program in its first game at that level.

WOMEN'S SOCCER NAMED 2007-08 NASSANEY MEMORIAL PROGRAM OF THE YEAR
SMITHFIELD, RI - After a 2007 season that saw the Bryant University women's soccer team roll to a program-best 17 wins and a No. 13 national ranking, head coach Chris Flint and his Bulldogs were named the 2007-08 Nassaney Memorial Program of the Year Award recipients.
The award, named in honor of Bulldog alum and track standout Shawn M. Nassaney, who was aboard Flight 175 on Sept. 11, 2001, demonstrates the continued effort to support the balance and development of the whole person through the Bulldog student-athlete experience.

SMITHFIELD, RI -- Bryant University head women's soccer coach Chris Flint is pleased to announce the signing of nine student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to enroll in the University this fall.
The Class of 2012 will be the first group of Bulldogs to spend all four years playing in the Division I ranks at Bryant, as the University begins its move up to the Northeast Conference and Division I play in 2008-09.
Bryant will face off against top programs such as Wyoming (Aug, 24), George Washington University (Aug. 31), UMass Amherst (Sept. 10), Yale (Oct. 1), Brown (Oct. 8) and Dartmouth (Oct. 14) throughout the 2008-09 season, also competing against future NEC members Sacred Heart (Sept. 26), Quinnipiac (Sept. 28) and Wagner (Oct. 5) before the Bulldogs wrap up their schedule their only regular-season home game, a 3 p.m. bout with Cornell on Friday, Oct. 24.
