BRYANT UNIVERSITY WOMEN'S SOCCER STANDOUT, DANIELLE MALTA, SELECTED TO PLAY IN NEWISA SENIOR BOWL
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Senior defender Danielle Malta (Bethel,
Conn.) has been selected to play in the NEWISA Senior Bowl on
Sunday, December 7th at Salem State College.
A four-year starter, Malta has anchored the Bulldog defense over
the past four seasons,

playing in almost every minute of every game. Malta was one of just two Bulldogs to ever be named a First Team All-American and the second player in the history of the program to be named an Academic All-American. Since arriving on campus, Malta has played in 86 games, the second most in school history, while starting in all 86 and playing the most minutes of any Bulldog in the history of the program (6,317). She has garnered many different awards, including Northeast-10 first team all conference and Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year in 2007.
The Bulldogs played their first season of Division I competition this year and will become full members of the Northeast Conference starting in 2012-2013.
Along with the game, the NEWISA will also be sponsoring a food drive that will also be taking place on December 7th.
