WOMEN'S SOCCER LOOKS TO REBOUND UNDER THE LIGHTS AT FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY TONIGHT
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - After losing to Maine 1-0 in overtime under the lights of the Bryant Turf Complex on Friday, the women's soccer team looks to shine tonight on Lessing Field in Fairfield, Conn. as they take on the Stags at 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs enter the game with a 1-3 record and their lone win coming against the University of Hartford. The Stags, affiliated with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, are 2-3 on the year with wins coming against Hartford and San Jose State.
The matchup marks the first ever between the two programs and is Fairfield's 2009 season home opener. The Stags are an impressive 11-4-2 in home openers.
