WOMEN'S SWIMMING HEADS TO SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT FOR NE-10'S

SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant men's and women's swimming teams will head down to New Haven, CT this weekend to take part in the Northeast-10 Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on the campus of Southern Connecticut State.  The championship will kickoff on Friday and conclude Sunday.

Under the direction of coach Katie Cameron, the Bryant men and women are enjoying tremendous success in the first half of their seasons.  The Bulldogs are undefeated in conference meets with wins over Bentley and Saint Rose this season and look to make big strides at the conference meet this weekend.

Last year, the Bryant women placed fourth at the conference championships. Sophomore standout Jessica Looney (Goffstown, NH) and freshman Amy Howell (Clifton Park, NY) will look to pace the way for the women's team this weekend.

Following the conference championships, the Bulldogs will be off for the holidays before heading to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands for training in early January before the second half of the 2007-08 season begins. The Bulldogs will swim against Providence College while in St. Thomas.
