SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant University men's and women's swim teams concluded a four-week long community service project with the Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln-Cumberland, where the teams helped young boys and girls improve their swimming skills.
On Mondays and Wednesday for four weeks, head coach Katie Cameron, and a group of Bryant swimmers went down to the Boys and Girls club of Lincoln-Cumberland to work with the swim team. The team spent over an hour each session helping the team with their strokes, starts and turns. Each session included a talk on the skills of the day, a demonstration by one of the Bulldog swimmers, and finished up with drills and stroke work with the Boys and Girls club athletes.
This proved to be a great opportunity for the Bulldogs to get to know some of the local swimmers, as well as answer some questions on swimming in college. The Bulldogs had a great time working with the athletes, and enjoyed sharing some of their experiences in the sport.
