Bryant Women's Tennis Standout Featured in Sports Illustrated Faces in the Crowd
SMITHFIELD,RI - Bryant University junior tennis standout Sacha Solomon (Bourne, Mass.) is featured in the May 15, 2006 issue of Sports Illustrated. Solomon is undefeated in Northeast-10 Conference play at No. 1 during her three seasons at Bryant and has led the Bulldogs to three NE-10 titles and three NCAA Championship appearances.

SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women's tennis team ended its 2006 season with a 5-2 loss to Kutztown (Pa.) Saturday afternoon at the Bryant tennis courts. The Bulldogs earned a win at No. 3 doubles and at No. 6 singles and end their season with a 17-4 overall record.

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University, serving as hosts of the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis NCAA First and Second Round at the beautiful new Bryant Tennis Courts, picked up a 5-1 win over Philadelphia University in Friday's first round action. The Bulldogs will face Kutztown, a 5-4 winner over California (Pa.) on Saturday at 12 pm.

Bryant Women's Tennis To Host NCAA Regional May 5-6
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women's tennis team will be making its third consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Championships, only this year the Bulldogs will serve as the host of the first round as announced by the NCAA. Bryant (16-3) will host Philadelphia University (15-5) in a first round matchup on Friday, May 5 with Kutztown (10-3) and California, Pa. (17-8) to square off in the other matchup. The winners will play Saturday, May 6 for the right to advance to the round of 16 in Kansas City. Bryant earned an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament after winning the Northeast-10 Championship last Sunday.

Women's Tennis Wins Third-Straight Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Title
EASTON, Mass. - Sophomore Lauren Mullen earned a win at No. 6 singles to help lead the Bryant University women's tennis team to a 5-4 win over Stonehill Sunday in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Championship. The Bulldogs will advance to the NCAA tournament next week for the third-straight year. The tournament pairings will be announced on Wednesday.

Women's Tennis Swings Past Southern New Hampshire 5-0
Smithfield, RI The Bryant women's tennis team hosted Southern New Hampshire in a first round Northeast-10 quarter-final match on Wednesday. The Bulldogs would win the match 5-0. Alex Spence (Lynnfield, MA) and Alanna Santanello (North Providence, RI) kept their perfect record alive with a 8-2 win at No. 2 Doubles. They are now 14-0 on the season. Bryant will now play the Bentley/Merrimack winner on Saturday April 22 at Stonehill.

Bryant's Women's Tennis team welcomed the Franklin Pierce Ravens to the Bryant Tennis Courts this afternoon. The Bulldogs finished 9-0 over the Ravens, with Bryant's Sacha Solomon & Alex Spence both improve to 12-0. Spence and Alanna Santanello were also recognized for Senior Day.

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - The Bryant women's tennis team opened the 2006 spring season with a 9-0 win over Pace University in a Northeast-10 Conference women's tennis match at the East Hartford Tennis and Racquet Club. The Bulldogs took all three doubles points to open the match and rolled from there. Bryant will have the week off before traveling to Puerto Rico Mar. 13-15 for three matches.

Women's Tennis To Begin Defense of Conference Title Friday With Match Against Pace in Hartford
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women's tennis team will open up its 2006 spring season this Friday afternoon when the Bulldogs travel to East Hartford, Conn. to face conference foe Pace University for an 11:30 am match. The Bulldogs, winners of two-straight Northeast-10 Conference titles, return seven letterwinners from last year's squad that post an undefeated conference record and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row. Following Friday's match with Pace, the Bulldogs will head to Puerto Rico for two matches with UPR-Rio Piedras and one match with UPR-Mayaguez.

The University of Rhode Island beat the Bulldogs 5-2 on September 21, 2005 at URI. The Bulldogs were led by Alex Spence (Lynnfield, MA) and Lauren Mullen (Braintree, MA) in the singles matches. However, they lost all three of the doubles matches, which proved to be the winning factor.

Women's Tennis Falls to Kutztown in Second Round of NCAAs
KUTZTOWN, PA – The Bryant University women’s tennis team fell 5-1 to Kutztown University in the NCAA East Regional Championship Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs dropped two of three doubles points to start the match and end the year with a 22-2 overall record. The Bulldogs posted their second-straight undefeated Northeast-10 Conference record and captured the NE-10 regular season and tournament championship in 2005.

Solomon Wins Women's Tennis East Regional
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.– Bryant University women’s tennis standout Sacha Solomon (Bourne, Mass.) captured the women’s singles title at the ITA East Regional Championship held over the weekend at Shippensburg University. Solomon, the 2004 Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Year and Conference Player of the Year, won all five matches in becoming the first Bryant women’s tennis player to capture the ITA East title.

Women's Tennis Captures 2004 NE-10 Title
In convincing fashion, the 2004 Bryant women’s tennis showed they aren’t just one of the top teams in the conference, but that the Bulldogs were the BEST team in the Northeast-10.
Behind the strong play of Sacha Solomon, Annette Jervasi, Alanna Santanello, and Alex Spence, the Bulldogs went undefeated in conference play and captured its first NCAA berth in school history. Sasha Garabedian, Ariana Rinaudo, Riley Doherty, and Ashleigh McLean were strong throughout the year. Solomon was named Freshman and Player of the Year in the Northeast-10, while head coach Barbara Cilli was honored as the 2004 Conference Coach of the Year.
