SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant women's tennis team improved its record to 14-1 on the season and stayed undefeated in Northeast-10 Conference play with a 9-0 win over visiting Bentley College on a blustery afternoon at the Bryant Tennis Courts Thursday. The Bulldogs, now 10-0 in the Northeast-10, opened the match by winning all three doubles matches and captured the six singles matches - five in straights sets - to pull out the win.
Sacha Solomon (Bourne, Mass.), ranked No. 19 nationally this week by the ITA, held off Bentley's Lauren Ginsberg, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Alex Spence (Lynnfield, Mass.) picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2 over Michelle Robbat while Sasha Garabedian (Scituate, RI) rallied back after dropping the first set to Amanda Barbato to win 1-6, 6-4, 10-8.
Bryant will travel to Stonehill on Saturday.
