BRYANT WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS PACE, 9-0 

      EAST HARTFORD, Conn. -  The Bryant University women's tennis team opened the 2006 spring season Friday afternoon with a 9-0 win over Pace University in a match played at the East Hartford Racquet Club.  The Bulldogs opened the match by sweeping all three doubles matches and followed with six wins in singles play. 

      Sacha Solomon and Annette Jervasi teamed at No. 1 doubles and cruised to an 8-1 win over Natalija Subotic and Emily Crabbs.  Alex Spence and Alanna Santanello followed with an 8-0 win over Lindsey Cupak and Chimene Chan at No. 2, while the sophomore tandem of Michelle Burke and Lauren Mullen dropped just one point in defeating Nicole Zalak and Montana Sarisky, 8-1. 

     The Bulldogs, now 2-0 on the season after defeating Saint Anselm last October during the fall portion of the 2005-06 schedule,  will travel to Puerto Rico for three matches March 13-15.
