WOMEN'S TENNIS EARNS PAIR OF WEEKEND WINS, 9-0 AND 8-1

EAST HARTFORD, CONN. - The Bryant women's tennis team took a pair of Northeast-10 Conference wins over the weekend, defeating Le Moyne College, 9-0, Saturday in East Hartford, Conn. before topping Saint Michael's College, 8-1, Sunday in Colchester, Vt.

The victories moved the Bulldogs to 11-2 on the year while keeping them an undefeated 7-0 in conference play.

Emma Czarnecki led Bryant with a pair of wins at No. 1 singles, winning against Ly Moyne before defeating Saint Michael's Lindsay Horne, 7-5, 7-5. Czarnecki also paired up with Valeria Couto Cuervo for two wins in No. 2 doubles, 8-0 on Saturday and 9-7 on Sunday.

Chelsea Downing also chipped in a pair of wins at No. 2 singles, beating Le Moyne's Megali, 6-4 (match retired) and fighting to a three-set win over Saint Michael's Deahna Giguerre, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. Downing also took a win Saturday at No. 1 doubles, where she teamed up with senior Michelle Burke for an 8-3 win.

Saint Michael's managed to take just one point from the Bulldogs, an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles, while the Dolphins were shutout by Bryant Saturday afternoon.

The women return to the court Thursday, April 3 for a road NE-10 conference match against Merrimack at 3:30 p.m.
