BULLDOGS DEFEAT SAINT ROSE 8-1

ALBANY, NY - The Bryant University women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 Northeast-10 Conference victory over Saint Rose Sunday afternoon in a match played at the University of Albany. 

The third doubles duo comprised of Saint Rose (1-11/1-8 NE-10) freshmen Rachael O'Brien (Lowville, NY/Lowville) and Carley Farnan (Schoharie, NY/Schoharie) captured their second consecutive doubles match. The twosome outlasted Bryant senior Heather Fedesco (Rocky Hill, CT/Rocky Hill) and freshman Kristen Swanson (West Newbury, MA/Pentucket), 9-7, in third doubles action.

The Bulldogs (7-2/7-1 NE-10) received a pair of victories from senior Sacha Solomon (Bourne, MA/Bourne). Solomon defeated freshman Lana Lamesic (Horgen, Switzerland) at first singles, 6-3, 6-7, 7-4, before combining with senior Annette Jervasi (Colchester, CT/Bacon Academy) to take a 9-7 decision over Lamesic and junior Katelyn Mockry (Plattsburgh, NY/Seton Catholic) at first doubles.
