BRYANT WOMEN DEFEAT FRANKLIN PIERCE 9-0 IN WOMEN'S TENNIS
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant
University women's tennis team braved cold temperatures Friday
afternoon at the Bryant Tennis Complex and put together a solid
team effort to pick up their 10th win of the season, defeating
Franklin Pierce 9-0.
Senior Sacha Solomon (Bourne, Mass.) rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles while classmate Annette Jervasi (Colchester, Conn.) was a straight-set winner at No. 2, winning handily 6-0, 6-0.
Junior Michelle Burke (Barrington, R.I.) - pictured right - was strong at No. 3, winning 6-1, 6-0 while freshman Kristen Swanson (West Newbury, Mass.) adding an 8-0 win at No. 4. Bryant will host AIC on Tuesday before heading to the Bloomsburg Duals next weekend.
