Women's Tennis Defeats South Dakota State 4-3

WOMEN’S TENNIS PICKS UP 4-3 WIN OVER SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
ORLANDO, Fla. – After falling to Creighton Monday, the Byrant
women’s tennis team picked up a big 4-3 win over South Dakota
State in Orlando, Florida.
Katie Francazio earned a solid 7-6, 6-0 win over Caitlin Branner at
No. 2 singles while Valaria Couto Cuervo followed with a thrilling
win over Camie Jansen at No. 3 singles. Couto Cuervo fell 7-5
in the first set but came back strong to win 6-3 in the second and
10-8 in the tie-breaker.
In doubles play, Morganne Downing and Francazio were victorious at
No. 2 and Talie Aviani and Martha Chapman won at No. 3.
