WOMEN'S TENNIS COMPETES AT QUINNIPIAC INVITATIONAL
HAMDEN, CT- After defeating Providence in their first head-to-head Division I match, the Bryant University women's tennis team took part in the Quinnipiac Invitational Tournament over the weekend. In first singles action, junior Emma Czarnecki (Huntington Woods, MI) lost a tough match in a third set tiebreaker to Mary Wilson (Quinnipiac), with the final tally being 4-6, 6-4, 10-3. Valieria Couto Cuervo (Guaynabo, PR), Chelsea Downing (Cherry Hills Village, CO), Martha Chapman, Katharine Francazio (Cranston, RI), Amanda Granville (Hawley, PA) and Talia Avian also competed in singles action and lost their first round matches.
The Bulldogs are back in action next weekend at the Army Invitational.
