BRYANT WOMEN’S TENNIS EXCELS IN THE CLASSROOM
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Not only are they amazing on the court, but the Bryant University women’s tennis team received the highest term GPA among all Bryant athletic programs, earning a 3.54 out of 4.0 grade point average combined this past fall semester. Helping the group bring in such high marks were senior Katharine Francazio (Cranston, R.I) and sophomore Claudia Hidalgo (Guayaquil, Ecuador), who both obtained a 4.0 and were two of only three athletes this past term to secure this honor.

It was the team’s second annual outing where they’ve been able to get out from behind the books for a brief time and help support a very worthy cause.

BRYANT WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO URI 5-2 IN DUAL OPENER
SMITHFIELD, R.I. The Bryant University women's tennis team opened the 2010-11 dual season Wednesday with a 5-2 loss at the University of Rhode Island. The Bulldogs opened the match strong by winning all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. But the Rams stormed back in singles play, winning five of the six matches to pick up their first victory on the season.
