SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Freshmen tandem Marion Bouillin (San Diego, Calif.) and Ryan Brown (Austin, Texas) of the Bryant University women's tennis team made history at the ITA Northeast Regionals in Cambridge, Mass. over the weekend.

Stacked up against the no. 9 seeded doubles team in opening round action at the ITA Northeast Regionals, the freshmen duo put on an absolutely phenomenal showing. Drawing a crowd of spectators against Army's sister pairing of senior Della Taylor and junior Elle Taylor, the Bryant freshmen took the match into a tiebreak where they went on to top the Taylor sisters, 8-7 (7-5), to advance to the round of 32.

Not only did Bouillin and Brown top the Army pairing for the first time in program history, the freshmen picked up the first-ever win at the ITA Regionals in Bryant women's tennis history.

Bouillin also competed in the 128 player singles draw, falling to a very tough opponent in Harvard's Monica Lin, 6-3, 6-3, in opening round action.

The Black and Gold wrap up a very successful fall campaign with a 4-0 overall record in dual matches and some very impressive showings in tournament action. Bryant kicks off its championship season in February as they look to earn one of the top spots at the Northeast Conference Championships comes April.
