Muniz Named All-American - Three Named to All-Region

SMITHFIELD, RI - For the second consecutive year, Bryant's Michelle Muniz (Guaynabo, P.R.) has been named an honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Muniz led the Bulldogs with 624 kills this season. Carola Pierluisi, Tiffany Garry, and Muniz was also named all-region by the AVCA.
In addition to her all-America honor, Muniz was named to the 2004 All-Region team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) while freshman setter Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) and senior defensive specialist Carola Pierluisi (Guaynabo, P.R.) were named AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention.

Garry had a strong freshman campaign, recording 1,562 assists (12.60 assists per game) while Pierluisi leaves as the all-time career leader for digs with more than 2,000. Pierluisi broke her own school record for digs in a season with 799 in leading the Bulldogs to the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2004.
