Volleyball Defeats New Haven 3-0 Thursday Night

WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bryant volleyball team won its 25th match of the season on Thursday, defeating the University of New Haven 3-0 at Charger Gym.

Michelle Muniz paced the way for Bryant with 20 kills as the Bulldogs improved to 25-3 overall on the season following the non-conference win. Muniz, second all-time in school history with 1,533 career kills, added three service aces and nine digs in the match.

Tiffany Garry, this week's Northeast-10 Conference setter of the week, had 33 assists to go with seven aces as the Bulldogs served well once again with 13 aces.

This season, Bryant has 318 service aces led by Carola Pierluisi's 59. Pierluisi, Bryant's lone senior, had 11 digs defensively and now needs only two digs to pass Kerry Beach '02 for the all-time career digs record of 1,799.

The Bulldogs will return home Saturday to host No. 11 Tampa at the Chace Athletic Center starting at 7 p.m.
