Volleyball's Muniz and Garry Honored by NE-10

EASTON, Mass. - Bryant junior Michelle Muniz and freshman Tiffany Garry were honored as the Northeast-10 Conference Player and Freshman of the Week. The announcement was made Monday by the conference office after the Bulldogs went 2-1 last week. Bryant will be at American International on Wednesday and host Pace and Southern Connecticut this Friday and Saturday.

Muniz averaged 4.70 kills per game and 4.80 digs per game for the Bulldogs last week. She hit .679 with 21 kills on 28 swings in the team's 3-0 win over Saint Anselm. She was just two aces shy of a triple double as the Guaynabo, Puerto Rico native had 14 digs and eight aces to go with five blocks against the Hawks.

She had 11 kills and 23 digs against NYIT on Saturday to give her 47 kills for the week.

Garry, three times the NE-10 Setter of the Week, added conference freshman of the week honors after averaging 10.90 assists per game. The Frankfort, Illinois native had 50 assists and eight digs against NYIT on Saturday and tallied 31 assists in a 3-0 win over C.W. Post.
