Bryant Volleyball Picked First In Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Poll
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. - The two-time defending Northeast-10
Conference champion Bryant University women's volleyball team was
picked by the conference coaches this week to repeat for the third
time in as many years in 2005. The Bulldogs, with 11 first
place votes, were picked first ahead of Bentley which was second in
the overall preseason poll.
Bryant, under the direction of tenth-year coach Theresa Garlacy, have earned six consecutive trips to the NCAA Championships and have posted back-to-back undefeated conference seasons in winning the NE-10 regular season and conference titles in 2003 and 2004.
The Bulldogs will open the 2005 season, Friday, September 2 when they open play at the Florida Southern tournament in Tampa with a match against North Alabama.
