Volleyball Heads To Florida For 2005 Season Opener
Bulldogs To Open With No. 23 North Alabama Friday at 4 p.m.

SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women's volleyball team departed campus Thursday afternoon to catch a flight to Tampa, FL site of the 2005 season opener where the Bulldogs will face a pair of nationally-ranked teams at the Florida Southern Tournament. 

The Bulldogs, 35-6 a year ago, will open the tournament against No. 25 North Alabama at 4 p.m. on Friday and will close out the day with a match with Eckerd College at 7 p.m. The team will take on Rollins College on Saturday at 3 p.m. on Saturday and close out the tourney with a 6 p.m. match against host Florida Southern.   The Moccasins are ranked No. 15 this week's AVCA Division II poll.

Bryant welcomes back the return of senior all-American Michelle Muniz and Northeast-10 Conference Setter of the Year Tiffany Garry.  Muniz led the Bulldogs with 624 kills last season (5.20 per game) while Garry had a very productive freshman season with 1,562 assists.
