Volleyball Defeats Merrimack 3-0 To Stay Perfect in Conference

senior middle hitter Jessica Cegarra (Danville,
NH) tallied 16 kills and five blocks to lead the Bulldogs
to a 3-0 win over Merrimack College in Northeast-10 volleyball
action Tuesday night at Volpe Athletic Center. The Bulldogs
captured game one 30-19, game two 30-17 and game three 30-24.
Julie Geonnotti (St. Louis Park, Minn.) added 12 kills for the Bulldogs, who remained perfect in NE-10 play at 6-0 while improving their overall record to 14-10. The Warriors, meanwhile, have dropped three of their last four matches and stand at 7-8 (5-3 NE-10) on the season.
Junior setter Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) notched 44 assists for Bryant and also led the squad with 10digs. Transfer Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) chipped in with six kills and eight digs.
Bryant will head to Long Island this Saturday to wrap up its nine-match road trip with a 10 am match with defending regional champion Dowling followed by a non-conference tilt with Millersville at noon.
