Bryant Rolls Past Franklin Pierce, 3-1
RINDGE, N.H. (October 25, 2006) - The Bryant University women's volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win at Franklin Pierce Wednesday, winning 22-30, 23-30, 30-22, 26-30) at the Franklin Pierce Fieldhouse.
Senior middle Jessica Cegarra (Danville, N.H./Timberlane) led all hitters, posting a match-high 16 kills. Freshman Julie Geonnotti (St. Louis Park, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's) registered 12 kills and 14 digs to aid the Bulldogs attack, while senior Beth Schlatterer (Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey) chipped in with 11 kills. Junior setter Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln Way East) paced the Bulldogs with a match-high 48 assists and four service aces.
Freshman Caitlynn Parnell led the Franklin Pierce attack, posting a team-high 15 kills to go with ten digs and two blocks.
Bryant University (17-17, 9-2 NE-10) will host Southern Connecticut State on Friday at 7 p.m.
