Bryant Volleyball Gains Spot in NCAA Regional Final with 3-1 Win Over New Haven Friday
OAKDALE, NY - The Bryant University women's volleyball team is headed back to the NCAA Regional Final once again thanks to a 3-1 win over third-seed University of New Haven Friday evening. The Bulldogs won 30-26, 30-24, 26-30, 30-21. The Bulldogs will face top-seed Dowling, a 3-0 winner over Bentley, in the regional final on Saturday evening at 7 pm.

Volleyball Falls to Dowling 3-1 in NCAA Regional Final Saturday
OAKDALE, NY Senior Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) pounded out 16 kills and added eight digs but it was not enough to overcome top-seeded Dowling College to a 3-1 win over Bryant University in the final of the NCAA Northeast Womens Volleyball regional here Saturday night. The loss ends Bryants season at 32-13 while Dowling (39-7) advances to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight at the end of the month.

Volleyball Opens NCAA Tourney With 3-2 Win Over Adelphi
OAKDALE, NY Sophomore Julie Geonnotti (St. Louis Park, Minn.) had 19 kills while Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) and Adrienne Boss (Dracut, Mass.) added 17 and 15 kills respectively to lead the Bryant University womens volleyball team to a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind win over Adelphi in an NCAA Northeast quarterfinal round match Thursday evening. The Bulldogs will face New Haven in the regional semifinals Friday at 5 pm.

Volleyball Selected to NCAA Tournament; Bulldogs Face Adelphi in Opening Round
SMITHFIELD, RI -- The Bryant University women's volleyball team has been selected to participate in the 2007 NCAA Division II Tournament Championship set to begin this weekend at Dowling University's campus in Oakdale, NY. The Bulldogs are the No. 2 seed of the tournament and will face seventh-seed Adelphi at 2:30 pm Thursday in the first round. Bryant (30-12), the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference regular season and tournament champions, will be making its ninth consecutive NCAA appearance and 11th overall under 12th year coach Theresa Garlacy. The Bulldogs are 8-10 all-time in NCAA tournament matches, last year falling to Bentley in the first round of the regional held at New Haven.

Garry Named Volleyball Setter of the Year; Joins Grceva on First Team All-Conference Team

The Bryant University women's volleyball team placed four players on the 2007 Northeast-10 All-Conference team with two earning first team honors and two earning third team all-conference recognition. The vote was done by the league 15 head coaches and was announced today at a banquet at the Northeast-10 Conference tournament.

WALTHAM, Mass. Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) had 12 kills and 16 digs while sophomore Morgan Wood (Cedar Park, TX) added 11 kills and three blocks as the Bryant University women's volleyball team advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Championship match with a 3-0 win over Pace University in the semifinals earlier today at Bentley's Dana Center. The Bulldogs, the top seed of the tournament, will face Merrimack which upset host Bentley, 3-0 in the other semifinal. The championship will take place at 7 pm.

In the nightcap, the Bulldogs dropped a 3-0 decision to the region's top team, Dowling College. The loss was Bryant's first at home in 15 matches.

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. After splitting Friday action at the East Stroudsburg Volleyball tournament, the Bulldogs dropped a tough 3-1 decision to Kutztown on Saturday. GARRY AND GRCEVA NAMED NE-10 PLAYERS OF WEEK
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. Bryant senior volleyball duo of Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) and Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) have been named Northeast-10 Conference Player and Setter of the Week the conference office announced Monday. Grceva averaged 5.12 kills per game and hit .3891 in five matches this past week. The outside hitter had 22 kills and hit .450 in a win over C.W. Post and added 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Queens Saturday. She added 34 digs defensively and was named all-tournament of the Bryant Invitational where the Bulldogs went 4-0 to even their record to 7-7 on the season.

Likica Grceva led the Bryant Bulldogs to a convincing sweep of C.W. Post and Bloomfield on the opening night of the Bryant Invitational Friday night. On the evening, Grceva tallied 37 kills to lead the Bulldogs by C.W. Post 3-1 (30-19, 28-30, 30-28, 30-20) and Bloomfield 3-0 (30-18, 30-14, 30-23. Monika Sattler also got into the act against Bloomfield, scoring 14 kills in the victory.

Volleyball Defeats Saint Anselm 3-0 Behind Grceva's 16 Kills Tuesday Night
SMITHFIELD, RI The Bryant women's volleyball team picked its second Northeast-10 Conference win this season with a 3-0 win over Saint Anselm Tuesday night in the home opener for the Bulldogs. Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) paced the Bryant attack with 16 kills. The senior hit a blistering .609 offensively as the outside hitter had just two errors on 23 swings. Setter Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) - pictured left - looked sharp running the Bryant offense as the setter had 32 assists in the match and three of the team's 10 total services on the night.

The Bulldogs (0-2) fell to St. Joseph's (IN) 3-0 in the opener and dropped a 3-0 decision to Southern Indiana in the second match. Bryant will face Wisconsin Parkside and Lewis on Saturday.

Volleyball Picked Third In Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Poll
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. The polls are in. The Bryant University women's volleyball team was picked to finish third in the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference following a vote by the 15 conference head coaches. The Bulldogs, winners of three of the last four Northeast-10 Conference titles, garnered 200 points including one first place vote. Bentley was picked to finish first with 221 points and 12 first-place votes. The Bulldogs will open the season August 31 at the Lewis University Invitational in Chicago.

Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) had 12 kills and 16 digs while sophomore Morgan Wood (Cedar Park, TX) added 11 kills and three blocks as the Bryant University women's volleyball team advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Championship match with a 3-0 win over Pace University in the semifinals earlier today at Bentley's Dana Center. The Bulldogs, the top seed of the tournament, will face Merrimack which upset host Bentley, 3-0 in the other semifinal. The championship will take place at 7 pm.

GARRY AND GRCEVA NAMED NE-10 PLAYERS OF WEEK
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. Bryant senior volleyball duo of Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) and Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) have been named Northeast-10 Conference Player and Setter of the Week the conference office announced Monday. Grceva averaged 5.12 kills per game and hit .3891 in five matches this past week. The outside hitter had 22 kills and hit .450 in a win over C.W. Post and added 16 kills in a 3-0 win over Queens Saturday. She added 34 digs defensively and was named all-tournament of the Bryant Invitational where the Bulldogs went 4-0 to even their record to 7-7 on the season.

Likica Grceva led the Bryant Bulldogs to a convincing sweep of C.W. Post and Bloomfield on the opening night of the Bryant Invitational Friday night. On the evening, Grceva tallied 37 kills to lead the Bulldogs by C.W. Post 3-1 (30-19, 28-30, 30-28, 30-20) and Bloomfield 3-0 (30-18, 30-14, 30-23. Monika Sattler also got into the act against Bloomfield, scoring 14 kills in the victory.

SMITHFIELD, RI The Bryant women's volleyball team picked its second Northeast-10 Conference win this season with a 3-0 win over Saint Anselm Tuesday night in the home opener for the Bulldogs. Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.) paced the Bryant attack with 16 kills. The senior hit a blistering .609 offensively as the outside hitter had just two errors on 23 swings. Setter Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) - pictured left - looked sharp running the Bryant offense as the setter had 32 assists in the match and three of the team's 10 total services on the night.

ROMEOVILLE, Illinois - The Bryant women's volleyball team opened the 2007 season Friday afternoon at the Lewis University Flyer Invitational. The Bulldogs (0-2) fell to St. Joseph's (IN) 3-0 in the opener and dropped a 3-0 decision to Southern Indiana in the second match. Bryant will face Wisconsin Parkside and Lewis on Saturday.

Volleyball Picked Third In Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Poll
SOUTH EASTON, Mass. The polls are in. The Bryant University women's volleyball team was picked to finish third in the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference following a vote by the 15 conference head coaches. The Bulldogs, winners of three of the last four Northeast-10 Conference titles, garnered 200 points including one first place vote. Bentley was picked to finish first with 221 points and 12 first-place votes. The Bulldogs will open the season August 31 at the Lewis University Invitational in Chicago.

Volleyball Welcomes Six Newcomers When Team Begins Practice August 15
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women's volleyball team will welcome six newcomers to the program in 2007 when the Bulldogs open preseason practice August 15. 12th-year coach Theresa Garlacy and the Bulldogs will be seeking their ninth consecutive NCAA appearance this fall when the team opens the slate August 31 at the Lewis Invitational in Romeoville, Ill.
