Garry Named Volleyball Setter of the Year; Joins Grceva on First Team All-Conference Team

SOUTH EASTON, Mass.  - The Bryant University women's volleyball team placed five players on the 2007 Northeast-10 All-Conference team with two earning first team honors and two earning third team all-conference recognition.  The vote was done by the league 15 head coaches and was announced today at a banquet at the Northeast-10 Conference tournament. 

Senior setter Tiffany Garry (Frankfort, IL) was named First Team All-Conference and took home 2007 Setter of the Year honors.  The award marks the third Setter of the Year award for Garry who was also named the league's best setter in 2004 and 2005.  The three Setter of the Year awards matches the three earned by former standout Britta Beckman who was recognized in 2000, 2002, 2003.

Joining Garry on the first team was senior Likica Grceva (Natick, Mass.).  Grceva led the Northeast-10 with 560 kills this season (4.24 per game) and earned five Northeast-10 Player of the Week honors this past season. 

Junior Maureen Atkins (Fenton, MO) was named third team all-conference as a libero.  Atkins leads the Bulldogs with 528 defensive digs this season and has 45 service aces.  Freshman standout Adrienne Boss (Dracut, Mass.) was also named to the third team all-conference team.  Boss is currently fourth on the team with 263 kills on the year and leads the team with 131 blocks.   Also named Third Team was sophomore middle blocker Morgan Wood (Cedar Park, TX).

Bentley's Christina Sadowski was named Player of the Year, while Merrimack's Molly Cindric and Assumption's Lauren Raswyck were tabbed as Freshman and Libero of the Year respectively.  Merrimack's Joey Pacis was named Coach of the Year after leading the Warriors to a third place finish in the conference.
