BULLDOGS HEAD TO PENNSYLVANIA FOR PAIR OF WEEKEND CONFERENCE BOUTS
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University volleyball team will travel to western Pennsylvania this weekend for a pair of Northeast Conference matchups. The Bulldogs will take on Robert Morris on Saturday (3 p.m.) before facing off against Saint Francis (PA) Sunday afternoon (1 p.m.).

The award is the first weekly honor not just for Mitravich or the Bulldog volleyball program, but for Bryant University Athletics as a whole.

TOLEDO, OH Maria Scocca tallied seven kills and added three blocks on the night, but it was not enough as the University of Toledo downed the Bryant University womens volleyball team 3-0 Friday evening in the Bulldogs season opener at the eighth annual Staybridge Suites Rocket Classic. Game scores in the match were 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University volleyball team was recognized among a record 409 programs to earn the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for its success in the classroom during the 2008-09 school year, as announced by the AVCA Monday.
