Bryant Invitational Results

SMITHFIELD, R.I. ? Stonehill College sophomore Tim Catoggio took first place honors overall to help lead the Chieftains men?s cross country team to a first place finish at the 2004 Bryant University Invitational here Saturday. Catoggio finished in a time of 25:45, edging Bryant?s Caleb Paul (Addison, Maine) who was second in 25:54.
Stonehill?s Chris Eynatian and Matt Mills both placed in the top-10 to help lead the scoring as the Chieftains finished with 35 points total on the day, well ahead of Merrimack College which was second with 69. The Warriors were led by Cameron Bellao and John Kelley who were sixth and seventh overall respectively.
Bryant took third overall in the men?s team scoring ? just one point behind Merrimack;s 70 total points. Jared Nelson (Cranston, RI) helped in the scoring for the Bulldogs with an eighth-place finish in 26:23.
On the women?s side, Bryant all-American Paula Klepadlo (Smithfield, R.I.) won the overall individual title in a time of 19:19, but it was Assumption that came away with the team title as the Greyhounds placed four runners in the top ten for 32 points. Erin O?Connell?s was fourth overall in 20:53 while Brooke Perron was close behind for fifth. Mercy?s Zoya Pochinka was second behind Klepadlo overall in a time of 20:39 while Stonehill?s Lesley Clunie was third individually in 20:51. The Chieftains finished second as a team with 45 total points.
The Bryant women were third overall with 79 points as Nicole Radzik took 12th and Holly Resendes was 22nd.
