Bulldogs Compete at Stonehill

EASTON, Mass. - The Bryant men's and women's cross country teams took part in the 2004 Dana Boardman Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. The men placed third while the women were fourth.

Leading the way for the men was junior Caleb Paul (Addison, Maine) who earned a top-10 finish at ninth overall in 27 minutes, 29 seconds. Jared Nelson (Cranston, RI) was 16th in 28:31 while Alan Waters (Clinton, Mass.) and Daniel Giacalone (Wakefield, Mass.) were 17th and 18th respectively. Waters finished in 29:09 while Giacalone was not far behind at 29:13.

Jeff Britton (Norwich, Vt.), Steve Barone (Trumbull, Conn.), and Steve Carr (Wolcott, Conn.) each ran well, finishing 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

On the women's side, Holly Resendes (Warwick, R.I.) was the top Bulldog to cross the line, finishing in 19th overall in 21:19. Nicole Radzik (Manchaug, Mass.) was 25th in 21:39 while Kara Tranquillo (Stratford, Conn.) was 27th in 21:57.

The Bulldogs will travel to Fordham next weekend.
