Bryant Names Amy Rudolph Assistant Cross Country Coach

SMITHFIELD, R.I. ? Two-time United States Track & Field Olympian and United States Indoor Champion Amy Rudolph has been named assistant cross country coach at Bryant University. The announcement was made today by Bryant Athletic Director Dan Gavitt and head cross country and track & field coach Amy Laughlin.
A native of Kane, Pa. and former all-American at Providence College, Rudolph is one of the most internationally experienced American distance runners. A member of the United State?s Olympic team in 1996 and 2000, Rudolph is a two-time U.S. Indoor Champion in the 3,000 meters (1997, 2002); a two-time U.S. short course cross country champion (1998 & 1999); and U.S. 8-kilometer road racing champion in 1998.
At Providence College, Rudolph was a three-time Big East Conference champion in the 3,000 meters. In addition, she was the NCAA indoor mile champion and the 1,500 meter outdoor national champion in 1994.
Bryant University, located in Smithfield, R.I., is a Division II member of the Northeast-10 Conference.
