BRYANT CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT CONNECTICUT COLLEGE INVITATONAL

NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Bryant men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2005 fall season at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday. The Bryant men finished 15th while the women took 13th.
Senior Caleb Paul led the way for the Bulldogs, finishing 43rd in 26:16 while newcomer Andrew olmes and Tom Casey were next in 83rd and 91st respectively. Jeff Britton (93), Steve Barone (107) and Jared Nelson (111) rounded out the field for the men.
The College of New Jersey was the overall winner followed by Trinity and Southern Connecticut. The Bulldogs managed wins over Hartford, New Haven, Roger Williams, and Assumption.
On the women's side, the Bulldogs got a strong performance from Nicole Radzik who placed 32nd individually while Jen Goodwin was next in 64th as the Bulldogs took 13th place as a team out of 22 schools competing.
Radzik finished in a time of 19:34 while Goodwin was next in
20:32 and Kara Tranquillo followed in 20:44 as the Bulldogs placed
above teams from New Haven, Southern Connecticut, and Dowling.
